The Condé Nast Traveler 2022 Readers’ Choice Awards were released this month in the October issue, with four hotels and resorts managed by Olympia Hotel Management ranking high on the lists. Now in their 35th year, the Readers’ Choice Awards are the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry.

The Alfond Inn at Rollins once again ranked on the short list of top 10 hotels in Florida. The 112-room boutique hotel is located in the heart of historic Winter Park, close to Orlando. Owned by Rollins College and managed by Olympia Hotel Management, The Alfond Inn at Rollins is distinguished by its philanthropic mission, directing all of its net operating income to scholarships. It is also the only hotel in the United States that serves as a formal extension of an art museum, exhibiting a rotating collection of artworks from The Alfond Collection of Contemporary Art, which is part of the Rollins Art Museum. A major expansion is underway, and when completed in summer 2023, it will add 71 new guest rooms, a spa, a second pool, and 2,400 square feet to the existing meeting and functions rooms.

The Glen House was ranked among the top 30 Hotels in the Northeast for the second time since 2019. Located at the base of Mount Washington in New Hampshire’s White Mountains, the 68-room property features the Notch Grille Restaurant, bar, and lounge, as well as a gym, indoor saltwater swimming pool, and meeting space. A range of outdoor activities is available at the adjacent Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center, and the hotel is next to the start of the famed Mt. Washington Summit Road.

The Hotel at Oberlin was named one of the Top 15 Hotels in the Midwest. It also ranked among the best hotels in the U.S. in the Condé Nast Traveller 2022 Readers’ Choice Awards in the U.K. edition. Owned by Oberlin College, the 70-room property opened in September 2016. It was the first hotel in the U.S. to incorporate solar, geothermal, and radiant heating and cooling. The Hotel at Oberlin is on track to qualify for the rigorous LEED Platinum certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. The hotel also includes a 6,500 square-foot meeting and function space as well as 1833, a restaurant overseen by Executive Chef Jim Barnhart.
