An Elegant State of the Art Wellness Facility

The Alfond Inn at Rollins, the award-winning boutique hotel in the heart of historic Winter Park, has announced that The Spa has opened. This 13,500-square-foot state-of-the-art wellness facility is a dramatic component in the expansion of The Alfond Inn at Rollins, which also includes a new fitness center, hydrotherapy amenities, and a second pool deck. The opening comes as the hotel celebrates its 10th Anniversary this year.

One of the most anticipated features of the hotel’s new wing, the design of The Spa includes seven treatment rooms and his and her hydrotherapy amenities, including saunas, aromatherapy steam rooms, and experience showers. There is also a new fitness area and luxuriously appointed locker rooms. Three Sanctuaries are designed for relaxing pre- and post-treatment as well. The look is clean and minimalist, tempered by a warm, soothing, understated color palette. The Spa welcomes both hotel guests and day visitors and is located in the new wing. It opens onto a new 6,000-square-foot Amenity Deck that features a second swimming pool for the hotel, private cabanas, a neo-classical fountain, and a shaded canopy that covers an extensive outside living room. The amenity deck will be available for private events and will have food and beverage options. In the near future, The Spa will offer wellness activities, including yoga and meditation sessions.
The seven treatment rooms include one couples room, where various massages, body treatments, and facials are offered, using products from Botanika Life, Osmosis MD, HydraFacial, and Privai. Dayleann Vallejo is the Director of The Spa and was previously at Nobu Miami Beach and The Ritz-Carltons in Key Biscayne and Coconut Grove.

Among the spa offerings, Vallejo singles out a Mead Botanical Garden CBD Gua Sha Massage, which is about “combining a holistic treatment with Gua Sha, a technique based in Traditional Chinese medicine.” She also notes the Hydrafacial, “which is a soothing, moisturizing, non-invasive and generally non-irritating, medically proven treatment that offers immediate results,” as well as the Anti-Aging Body Lift treatment which “goes beyond a facial to take care of the rest of the skin on your body. It’s designed to rejuvenate and boost dull, sagging skin.” Among her favorite treatments is the Warm Florida Sun Stone Massage, which “helps melt muscle tension and alleviate pressure without the intensity of a deep tissue massage. It’s a treatment that everyone can enjoy.”

In contrast, the existing lobby, library, and bar have been renovated, and Hamilton’s Kitchen restaurant has been upgraded with a new private dining room. A new meeting room and boardroom have added 2,400 square feet to the existing 10,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.
