MESLER & MORE
Mesler Chicago has become the heart of Hyde Park, a gathering place for guests and neighborhood residents. It’s a high-design restaurant, bar and lounge with a lively crowd and a menu of creative comfort food from Executive Chef Eddy Arreola. The 60-seat dining space was imagined to evoke an author’s dining room, with bookshelves carved into columns to partition seating areas. A 15-foot, double-sided fireplace connects and separates the hotel reception area from the 40 seat Mesler lounge. There’s also an indoor private dining room that welcomes up to 14 guests.

SANCTUARY & HAPPY HOUR
Summer heralds the reopening of The Sanctuary, the alfresco shaded lounge offering cocktails and light fare beside firepits and under twinkle lights, featuring signature cocktails like the 53rd Street Old Fashion and the Hyde Park Gin & Tonic. Happy Hour is an event on every weekday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, when $8 glasses of house wine and $5 beers of the day are on offer.
WEEKEND BRUNCH & MUSIC
The Hyde Park neighborhood mixes and mingles over weekend brunch at Mesler, which has become both a culinary and social celebration. From French Toast to Chicken & Pearl Sugar Waffles to Mesler’s highly regarded Lobster Roll, it’s all about delicious food and gathering with family and friends. Brunch is served Saturday 8:00 am to 2:00 pm and on Sundays from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Every Sunday, starting on May 1, there will be music in Mesler from Keya and Friends, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
THE ART OF SOPHY
SOPHY is equally known for its curated art collection, from Chicago artists such as Joey Korom. Sharing the walls with pieces by established artists are over 50 works of original art from local students at the Hyde Park Academy High School. The walls of Mesler feature a gallery of book covers and this summer, an exhibition of works by emerging multidisciplinary artist Jennifer Hodges will be showcased at SOPHY.
