Diners heading to Mesler at SOPHY Hyde Park on Chicago’s South Side during Chicago Restaurant Week (January 24 – February 9, 2020) are in for a treat. Chef Matthew Cappellini has devised two menus to keep guests warm regardless of the temperatures outside.  Chef Cappellini’s Brunch Menu is $24.00 per person, plus tax and gratuity and includes one Mimosa per person. The starter is a Soup du Jour (chef’s daily selection) followed by entree choices of Shrimp and Grits (marinated shrimp, andouille sausage, Cajun gravy, scallions) or a 5th Ward Burger, made with sharp cheddar, garlic mayo, cabernet onions, and pickles. For dessert, the choice is seasonal flavors of either gelato or sorbet.
