Maine’s fresh clams highlight the Yarmouth Clam Festival, while oysters take center stage at the Pemaquid Oyster Festival. The world’s biggest celebration of lobster is the Maine Lobster Festival in Rockland, while Eastport honors the local catch at their annual Salmon and Seafood Festival on Passamaquoddy Bay. Maine-centric treats like the Moxie Festival and the Maine Whoopie Pie Festival exist.

The Damariscotta Pumpkin Festival and Regatta is a fall highlight. At the same time, The County has the Maine Potato Blossom Festival, and Fort Kent honors ploys; light buckwheat pancake brought to Maine by the French Acadians at the annual Ploye Festival is fantastic.
