Experience the highest skydive in Montana, with breathtaking views from 13,500 feet

Triple Creek Ranch, the Relais & Châteaux property in the Bitterroot Mountains of Montana, may be best known for luxury cabins, fine dining, a Wine Spectator Award-winning wine list, and activities ranging from horseback riding to fly fishing.  But a new activity has captured the imagination of some of the Ranch’s loyal guests.

It’s a tandem skydive with the professional instructors at Skydive Missoula, letting you soar above the majestic peaks of the Bitterroot and Sapphire mountains, the rolling green valleys, and the winding rivers of Western Montana. The expansive views alone are worth the jump.

No prior experience is needed. Tandem skydiving is ideal for beginners, allowing you to enjoy the thrill while securely harnessed to a United States Parachute Association-rated instructor, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience and guiding you every step of the way from pre-jump preparation to a gentle landing.

What to Expect

Guests need to provide their own transportation and drive themselves just an hour and fifteen minutes from Triple Creek Ranch to SkyDive Missoula, in Stevensville, MT.

Before taking to the skies, you will be required to sign a waiver and provide some personal information. After watching a short video you will be partnered with your instructor, they will fit you with a harness, and make sure you are dressed appropriately to jump. Once properly prepared, participants will board their aircraft and embark on a scenic flight into the Big Sky.

Upon achieving optimum jumping altitude, the door will open,  and off you jump into the unmatched exhilaration of a full minute of freefall.

Then, soar through the skies on a serene canopy flight followed by a peaceful parachute descent as you enjoy the magnificent scenery of the beautiful Bitterroot Valley, before gently touching down in the landing area. Your instructor will even allow you to pull your own chute if you feel up to the challenge!

What is this “AGL” thing?

When talking about skydiving altitude, there are 2 reference points, MSL (Mean Sea Level) and AGL (Above Ground Level). The airport is at an elevation of 3,600 feet above sea level, so in order to get 13,500 feet of freefall, Skydive Missoula must fly to 17,100 feet MSL.  Skydive Missoula is the only drop zone in the region that is authorized by the FAA to fly as high as 18,000 feet above sea level. This affords every jumper the opportunity for a full minute of freefall before deploying the parachute.
